Zadie was an owner surrender down south, which means she went to the top of the list for euthanasia at the full shelter (there is a hold period for strays to see if anyone claims them). There was no reason given for the surrender and our rescue friends and connections at the shelter found she was an excellent pup during all evaluations who simply needs chew toys rather than stuffies, so we were happy to help save her and bring her north to find a family that will treasure and keep her! She knows some basic cues, like “sit” and “stay,” and will go to her crate with “kennel.” She’s good with dogs and kids, but we’d recommend slightly older kiddos since loud noises are a little scary for her (who can blame her after all these changes and a loud, confusing shelter!). She does well on leash and is potty & crate trained. She enjoys playtime but most importantly she loves to spend time with her people and would adore a family that is around a lot to share her love with.

All of our available adoptable dogs are on Facebook, Petfinder, and our website. If a dog is no longer listed it means they have an adoption pending.
We are a nonprofit organization - all adoption fees go towards the rescue, veterinary care, and transportation of these dogs in order to get them ready for their forever homes.
We are a shelterless rescue. All of our dogs are housed in foster homes to help them de-stress and get used to a home environment while they await adoption, giving us the opportunity to understand their personalities and needs.
