Rico is excited to start his happily ever after in New England with a forever family to call his own! "Couldn’t be sweeter romping in our yard with the kids." "He is the life of the party and radiates sweetness!" "I love his snuggles" - just a few quotes from Rico's foster 🥰 He’s a goofy, beautiful puppy with beautiful, soulful eyes that plays well with other dogs, including respecting seniors. He’s also great with kids but does not know his own size, so older/bigger kiddos would be best. Poor Rico seems have had a difficult experience with men in his early days and is very afraid and cowers when strange men are near. He’s a big, loving cuddlebug with kids and women, and would enjoy a home with a female primary caretaker. A gentle man could help him re-learn and build confidence with lots of patience, space, and understanding, but while he's learning all about his new life, we think a female adult(s) home would be best. He loves his crate and thinks it makes a lovely “safe space” and bachelor pad to nap in. He doesn’t have much experience leash walking but is learning about it with his foster. He loves chew toys and will be fun to spoil while figuring out his favorites! He could use some bonding over basic training but is treat-motivated and happy to make you happy (also a great way to build communication and confidence!). Sweet Rico just wants to feel safe so he can share all the love and joy he has inside!

All of our available adoptable dogs are on Facebook, Petfinder, and our website. If a dog is no longer listed it means they have an adoption pending.
We are a nonprofit organization - all adoption fees go towards the rescue, veterinary care, and transportation of these dogs in order to get them ready for their forever homes.
We are a shelterless rescue. All of our dogs are housed in foster homes to help them de-stress and get used to a home environment while they await adoption, giving us the opportunity to understand their personalities and needs.
