Karen and her brother Polar were part of an unwanted/surprise litter from the south, from a Labrador mom and unknown dad. Their siblings were able to find homes in the south, but it’s so overcrowded with dogs looking for homes down there that NELR agreed to help these two cuties find forever homes up north (part of the agreement is that mom got spayed sheaths doesn’t happen again). Karen is playful and friendly with other dogs, good with kids, and even gets along with cats (although she is a goofy puppy, so the cats need to be ok with that). She’s been doing well with potty & crate training, loves to play and is a happy little pup! Continued bonding over training skills with a forever family is a great way to show your little pupper what life in your house is all about, as well as open good communication with your new family member ❤️

ATTENTION PUPPY ADOPTERS: We strongly advise positive reinforcement training/behavior classes with your new pup. Training is for the benefit of you and your puppy and will help you build a stronger relationship. Puppies do not know what they haven’t been taught and some “puppy proofing” may need to be done in your home. Please remember that little puppies come in little bodies that need potty breaks every few hours.

All of our available adoptable dogs are on Facebook, Petfinder, and our website. If a dog is no longer listed it means they have an adoption pending.

We are a nonprofit organization - all adoption fees go towards the rescue, veterinary care, and transportation of these dogs in order to get them ready for their forever homes.

We are a shelterless rescue. All of our dogs are housed in foster homes to help them de-stress and get used to a home environment while they await adoption, giving us the opportunity to understand their personalities and needs.
