Dash (m) and Dazzle (f) are a bonded pair that have grown up together in a loving home down south. Sadly, their human parents are elderly and one has broken a leg, making it very difficult to care for the young dogs, so rescue friends contacted NELR to help keep these two lives safe from euthanasia. Dazzle is the smaller, fluffier one, but both are undeniably gorgeous! She is a bit more outgoing and playful while brother Dash is more laid back. They are both friendly, love their humans and each other, are great nappers, get along with other dogs, and were raised with cats. They’ve been loving all the positive attention and think being brushed, patted, belly rubbed, ear scratchied, etc, is just the best! Dash loves to lean against you (a “dog hug”) and little Dazzle will get in your lap if you let her. They’re both potty trained and trustworthy in the house, but are still getting used to leash walking. While they’ve been totally fine with hair dryers, vacuums, and leaf blowers, Dash isn’t used to loud trucks and traffic going by while out on walks since he was used to a fenced yard, so a fenced area would be helpful (but not a dealbreaker) for not only the transition while they get more comfortable with walking, but we can attest that playtime is a lot of fun if the whole fam can spend time freely together :) They know some basics and are used to home life, but communicating with your new family members over training is always a great way to form a bond. These two are happy, loving, easy-going, and ready to bring a forever family lots of smiles!

We are a shelterless rescue. All of our dogs are housed in foster homes to help them de-stress and get used to a home environment while they await adoption, giving us the opportunity to understand their personalities and needs.
