Comet was saved from the euthanasia lists at a full southern shelter after being found as a stray, and is excited to start his second chance at happiness up here in New England. He is a sweet, affectionate young boy that’s potty & crate trained (but also content to sleep in the human bed if permitted!). He loves playtime but also knows how to relax and nap. Comet was originally fostered in a city, and while he was playful and super affectionate with his foster, he had a tough time with all the noises/sounds/distractions outside being overwhelming and stressful (same here!). He's since been moved to a rural farm setting and has been doing wonderfully! He still has some frustration with leash walking that he's working on, but he has been living and playing with other dogs, and they've been helping with his confidence - we think he might actually enjoy sharing a home with another playful pup! We're so proud of Comet and so happy he's feeling like himself! He's also been having fun with the pre-teens and teens he's been meeting. He would love a home in a rural setting because he really prefers the peace and quiet of nature. Having a yard to romp in with trusted people and dogs has been a blast for him. Both fosters say he is super lovable and sweet, easygoing and snuggly in the home. He can’t wait to appreciate the peace of a happily ever-after with a family of his own to adore ♥️

All of our available adoptable dogs are on Facebook, Petfinder, and our website. If a dog is no longer listed it means they have an adoption pending.
We are a nonprofit organization - all adoption fees go towards the rescue, veterinary care, and transportation of these dogs in order to get them ready for their forever homes.
We are a shelterless rescue. All of our dogs are housed in foster homes to help them de-stress and get used to a home environment while they await adoption, giving us the opportunity to understand their personalities and needs.
