Blu was saved by one of our southern rescue friends when they went to free another shelter dog for NELR. He was such a happy, lovely, playful pup, and when our friend realized he was next on the euthanasia list everyone sprang into action so his life could be saved. Once in our care, he was found to be heartworm positive, so he spent some extra time at a southern foster’s home going through HW treatment. He was a lovely houseguest (“the perfect dog” according to his southern foster!) but is all done, feeling great, and ready to find his happily ever after in New Hampshire or Vermont (*due to certain state regulations regarding transport of recently HW+ animals). Blu is potty trained, loves leash walks, and enjoys car rides. He’s good with kiddos and has fun playing with other dogs, so a dog sibling or frequent playdates would be so fun for him! He enjoys a game of fetch but is also happy to go paddle boarding with you… or run errands, or snuggle up on the couch – really whatever you want to do, he’s just happy to be loving life with you! He’d love a family that he can spend most of his time with, he’s truly delighted to be included as part of the family. He’s affectionate, cuddly, and loves to be loved. Such a sweetie!

All of our available adoptable dogs are on Facebook, Petfinder, and our website. If a dog is no longer listed it means they have an adoption pending.

We are a nonprofit organization - all adoption fees go towards the rescue, veterinary care, and transportation of these dogs in order to get them ready for their forever homes.

We are a shelterless rescue. All of our dogs are housed in foster homes to help them de-stress and get used to a home environment while they await adoption, giving us the opportunity to understand their personalities and needs.
