Sweet Albert was up against the clock when it came to the euthanasia list at an overfull shelter down south. Thankfully the amazing rescue network brought him to our attention and NELR was happy to offer this boy the safety of New England, land of pampered fur-babies! He’s gentle, calm, and an easy-going lad. He’s good with other dogs and is happy to socialize. He’s also super friendly with humans, greeting them with a wagging tail and patiently sitting to be approached. He enjoys a bit of activity like getting to play with his human or dog friends, or getting to run around the play yard for sniffs. He also has been getting a kick out of the toys in his foster home. He comes when called and is a good boy despite not knowing many formal cues, but he is very treat motivated and loves to be loved! When the pats start coming he leans into you in thanks, and is up for a snuggle at a moment's notice. He’s ready to bring the love to your home and have the best life with a family he can call his own!

All of our available adoptable dogs are on Facebook, Petfinder, and our website. If a dog is no longer listed it means they have an adoption pending.
We are a nonprofit organization - all adoption fees go towards the rescue, veterinary care, and transportation of these dogs in order to get them ready for their forever homes.
We are a shelterless rescue. All of our dogs are housed in foster homes to help them de-stress and get used to a home environment while they await adoption, giving us the opportunity to understand their personalities and needs.
